This course is a fusion between the ancient and contemporary practices of ceramics in jewellery design. We will be focusing on bracelets and rings specifically in this course. Create brilliant ceramic accessories for yourself, family or friends.

Morocco has an ancient tradition of artisanal jewellery and craftsmanship that continues well into our modern era. Jewellery is one of the most prized possessions Moroccan women have. It almost serves as a portable landmark to display one’s origins as well as a proud exhibition of identity and ethnic roots. When speaking of Moroccan jewellery, your brain instantly conjures up images of those chunky and elaborate Berber necklaces or those intricate bridal accessories that drape the hair, arms, and neck.
Most notably, two particular traditions of jewellery craftsmanship come to mind: Berber and Tuareg

In this course students will gain an understanding of technique, chemistry, theory, glazing, designing and firing of the products and more.
The final products will be evaluated and tested for a final exhibition of the completed works.

Upon Completing this course successfully, you will receive a certified registered certificate of completion which will enable you to apply for an apprenticeship position with a ceramist /sculpture artist, you may want to apply at a ceramic manufacturing business. or you may want to start a small business making rings and bracelets to sell in markets or online.

Completion of this course also allows you to go to the next level of Contemporary Ceramic Art & Jewellery Design Level 4/5/6/7 or apply for our Masters in Design Degree.
